Tracing a story of the past is an interesting puzzle. I have decided to use the name Charles Hensley in this case as it is the name listed both on the Old Bailey transcript and the Ticket of Freedom. The name Charles Hugh Hensley has, to the best of my knowledge, been part of the family oral story. Once we come to the marriage and death certificates it is worth noting that the name is listed as Charles Henry Hensley. I leave you to imagine the reasons.
